Historian, Leader of the Commission of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Concealed Mass Graves

Dr. Jože Dežman, born on 26th September, 1956, BA in history and philosophy, museum councilor. His fields of study are history, anthropology. He is researching the consequences of a rasistic division of Slovenian society in Titoism, the process transitional justice.  He has edited several anthologies of local history he has prepared more than 10 exhibitions and published several hundreds of articles in anthologies, scientific and daily publications. Director of the Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia 2005-2010, director of the Archive of Republic of Slovenia 2012-2013, Director of the Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia 2021-2023. Since 2005 he is leading the Commission of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Concealed Mass Graves.
